Travelling by Rail
There are excellent direct rail links from Arundel and Amberley to Gatwick Airport, London Victoria Railway Station and the south coast.
Travelling by Road
London - 75 miles, Gatwick - 35 miles, Portsmouth - 31 miles, Guildford - 33 miles, Brighton - 27 miles
From London and the North
From the M25 join the M23 at Junction 7.
Remain on the M23 until the end of the motorway at Junction 11 and take the A264 to Horsham.
At Horsham, join the A24 travelling south towards Worthing and remain on the A24 for approximately 14 miles until the village of Washington.
At the roundabout just outside Washington Village, take the third turning to the right towards Storrington along the A283.
Drive through Storrington on the A283. At the end of the village, there is a mini roundabout next to the Esso garage - turn left down the B2139 towards Amberley.
Drive for 4.2 miles: Ignore signs to Amberley village.
Shortly after passing Amberley village, look on the right hand side for the short Union Jack flagpole which marks the entrance to the castle.
From the South Coast West (Southampton)
From the A27 at Fontwell, join the A29 towards London.
After 3 miles, turn right onto the B2139 towards Storrington.
The short Union Jack flagpole which marks the entrance to the castle is on the left-hand side after approximately 2 miles.
From the South Coast East (Brighton)
From the A27 at Worthing, join the A24 towards London.
After approximately 6 miles turn onto the A283 towards Storrington at the second roundabout.
Drive through Storrington on the A283. At the end of the village, there is a mini roundabout next to the Esso garage - turn left down the B2139 towards Amberley.
Drive for 4.2 miles: Ignore signs to Amberley village.

From Arundel (6 miles)
Follow signs for the A284 to London.
After approximately 3 miles you will come to a roundabout. Take the third exit for the B2139 to Amberley and Storrington.
